WEATHER-RITE™ UHA Overview

Axial Fan Tubular Unit Heaters

WEATHER-RITE™ UHA/UHAS-Series, quiet axial fan, gas-fired, warm air unit heaters are for commercial and industrial applications such as: vehicle repair/service shops and garages, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, shipping/receiving and many others.

Standard Features:

Available in a wide range of inputs from 30,000 Btu/h to 385,000 Btu/h, as well as both natural gas and propane gas models, WEATHER-RITE™ unit heaters provide a minimum of 82% efficiency with the use of a four-pass or six-pass serpentine tubular heat exchanger and power venting. The units are also equipped to provide optional summer air circulation with the use of remote fan operation. Our unit heaters feature durable, baked powder coat painted cabinets for a long lasting clean, attractive appearance.

Added cabinet insulation promotes quiet operation with very low clearances to combustibles, as low as 0” from the bottom surface on some models. Units are equipped for chain, threaded-rod, bracket, or shelf mounting to suit a multitude of installation arrangements. Our unit heaters are capable of rear or top venting from the unit and exhaust can be vented to outdoors through either the side wall or the roof of the building.

Models 30-125 (30,000 - 125,000 BTU/h) are compact style, unit heaters housed in a space saving low-profile cabinet as small as 12” high x 28 ½” wide.

Models 150-400 (150,000 – 385,000 BTU/h) are housed in a standard cabinet. Large, side door access, standard onboard LED diagnostics and comprehensive, pictorial installation, operation and service manual allows for ease and speed of installation, maintenance and service.

Options:

WEATHER-RITE™ unit heaters have stainless steel heat exchanger and/or separated combustion options. Additional options include shelf mounting brackets and vertical air distribution louvers.

Separated Combustion Unit Heaters

Weather-Rite LLC also offers separated combustion unit heater models (UHAS-Series) that draw ducted outdoor combustion air, rather than using air from the indoor heated space for combustion. Separated combustion unit heaters (also called sealed combustion unit heaters) are used in areas where airborne dirt, dust, fumes, chemicals, detergents or other contaminants may be present.

By supplying fresh outdoor combustion air to the heater, indoor contaminants are restricted from entering the burners and heat exchangers, thereby helping protect the unit from premature failure in demanding indoor environments. In addition, UHAS-Series unit heaters are building pressure "neutral" since they neither draw from, nor supply additional outdoor air to, the heated space. Therefore, their operation in not adversely effected from drafts or negative pressure building environments. Separated combustion heater models can optionally be installed with concentric venting, allowing fresh outdoor combustion air and exhaust through a single side-wall or roof penetration.
